Today's Weather Outlook: A Cool and Cloudy Day
Early Morning Chill: It's a brisk start with temperatures at a cool 3°C at 6 AM, warming slightly to 4°C by 8 AM. You'll see some sunshine peeking through the clouds, so it's not all grey skies this morning!
Mid-Morning to Afternoon: The clouds are sticking around, but don't worry, there's no rain in sight. Temperatures will gently climb from 5°C at 9 AM to a more comfortable 8°C by lunchtime.
Late Afternoon Stability: The thermometer will hold at 9°C through the afternoon, with consistent cloud cover. A perfect time for any indoor activities you have planned.
Evening Cool Down: As we move into the evening, temperatures will begin to drop, reaching 8°C by 7 PM and then 7°C by 9 PM.
Night Approaches: The night will bring cooler temperatures, with a decline to 6°C by 10 PM and down to 5°C by midnight, accompanied by partial cloud cover for a peaceful end to the day.

Observe and potentially join the dedicated Working Parties as they perform maintenance and planting across various natural settings.
After meeting up at the Carriage House, just behind the Roundhay Fox, the team will work through the morning with a cosy tea and coffee break at 11:30 am.
This is a perfect chance to meet like-minded individuals, enjoy the great outdoors, and make a tangible difference in your local environment.
New Beginner’s Yoga: Unwind and Find Your Flow!
Have you been curious about yoga? Here's your chance to dive in! A new Beginner's Yoga course is opening its doors this Thursday, 25th April, from 10-11 am at St Ed’s Church Hall.
Don't miss this opportunity to start your journey into yoga with a class that's designed to be fun and accessible. Whether you're looking to improve flexibility, and strength, or simply find some inner peace, this 5-week course is a perfect introduction.

Chapel Allerton Joins Celebration with a Recycling Rainbow
Chapel Allerton is part of a city-wide initiative celebrated by a vibrant recycling rainbow installation at Leeds Station for Earth Day. This symbol of sustainability is made from over 2,500 recycled cans, representing local recycling efforts. It can be found across the city centre and in town centres including Chapel Allerton, Headingly, Garforth, Morley, Otley and Wetherby.
Leeds residents, play a key role in these efforts, with a reported average of 74% of consumed cans being recycled. This initiative supports Leeds' goal to become a carbon-neutral city by 2030 and highlights the community's commitment to eco-friendly practices.
New Dates for Moortown Primary's Sports Day!
Attention Moortown Primary families: Sports Day has a new date!
Due to a clash with Allerton Grange’s transition day, the event is now scheduled for Tuesday, 02 July, with a backup date of Tuesday, 16 July, in case of rain.
The school hopes that the early notice helps everyone adjust their plans smoothly. Let’s get ready to cheer on our young athletes!

The North Leeds Leopards Under 12s displayed a roaring performance with a commendable victory over the Underbank Rangers on Saturday 20th April.
The match, which kicked off at 9:30, ended with the Leopards scoring 32 points against the Rangers' 14, marking another successful outing for the team. Go Leopards!
