Montagu Hospital Enhances Garden Areas for Wellbeing Day

The local NHS Trust organised a Wellbeing Day at Montagu Hospital, transforming garden areas to enhance patient and staff wellbeing.

Volunteers, staff, and community members collaborated to plant flowers, install new seating, and create peaceful environments.

Andy White, Head of Capital Infrastructure at DBTH, expressed gratitude to all who helped improve Montagu Hospital's gardens. Special thanks were given to Moortown for their efforts in cleaning the hospital's pathways and patios, enhancing the overall environment.

This initiative is part of the Trust's ongoing efforts to promote mental and physical health by improving hospital spaces.

The enhanced garden areas aim to provide a tranquil space for relaxation and reflection for everyone at the hospital.

Nursery New Starters Parents Evening

Roundhay St John's Church of England Primary School will be hosting a nursery new starters parents evening on 26th June from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the school hall.

This event is for parents of children who will be starting nursery in September 2024. It will provide essential information about the nursery program and give parents an opportunity to ask questions and meet the staff.

Ladies Open Update at Moortown Golf Club

The Ladies Open at Moortown Golf Club on Monday, June 10th, 2024, saw Fairuz Mitchell, Karen Dent, Carol Price, and Jenny Ellis from Wath taking the lead with 90 Stableford points.

In second place were Rebecca O'Grady, Janet Roberts, Joy Naylor, and Sarah Chapman from Howley Hall with 83 points.

The third spot was secured by Vicky Eyre, Sarah Huddy, Sophie Jacob, and Sue Severn from Pannal, Northants County, Harrogate, scoring 82 points.

The event featured competitive play and showcased impressive performances from all participants.
