Leeds Imam Welcomes Emergency Security Measures for Mosques Amid Nationwide Disorder
Qari Asim MBE, a senior imam at Makkah Mosque in Leeds, supports new emergency security measures for mosques following recent violence targeting places of worship across the UK.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the measures after protests erupted in response to a tragic incident in Southport.
Mr. Asim emphasised the need for added protection and highlighted the fear and anxiety in the Muslim community due to Islamophobic attacks.
