Local Resident, Rita Bradbury Celebrates 100th Birthday
Rita Bradbury celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends, including her husband Arnold, who turned 100 last year.
Born in Durham, Rita served in the WRENS during WWII. She met Arnold in Leeds, marrying in 1948 at St. John’s Church, Moortown.
They lived in Moortown and Alwoodley, raising two sons.
The couple retired to Collingham before moving to Wetherby Manor Care Home in 2015.
Both are well cared for and enjoy the company of their two sons, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Anne Frank Workshop at Allerton High School

Course Maintenance Update at Moortown Golf Club
Moortown Golf Club has been busy with essential course maintenance. The team has successfully completed the task of flail cutting the ditch banks and re-grading the ditch bases.
This effort is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the course conditions for all players. The work ensures better water drainage and overall course aesthetics. Members and visitors can look forward to enhanced playability and a more enjoyable golfing experience.
