Happy reading!

Heads up, Moortown! Our Tuesday is looking to be draped in grey with light rain showers playing tag throughout the day. We're expecting a gentle breeze, so it might just be the perfect day for a peaceful walk under the umbrella, enjoying the soft pitter-patter of rain.

Do take note though, there's a yellow warning for rain issued by the Met Office. The heavy drizzle on saturated ground could lead to some pesky travel disruptions. So, if you're out and about, make sure to allow extra time for travel and keep those wellies handy!

Despite the drips and drops, the temperature will hover around a cool 8°C, so it’s not all chill and shivers. And hey, what's a bit of classic British weather to start the year? Keep warm, keep dry, and let's tackle this Tuesday together!

The Inspiring Journey of a Leeds Barber Overcoming Crohn's Disease to Shape Lives and Careers

Tonie Browne, who founded Jax Barbershops in Leeds, began his career in barbering at 16. Initially showing little interest in academics, he found his calling at Union Barbers in Hyde Park. Despite a challenging diagnosis of Crohn's disease in 2010, which demanded dietary changes and frequent hospital visits, Tonie overcame these challenges to establish a successful chain and a barbering school. He also runs a pioneering NVQ barbering course with Roundhay School, now in its second year, offering vocational qualifications to students.
