Moortown Local Scoop- Tuesday 2nd April 2024
Tuesday 2nd April 2024
Happy April, Moortown!
The answer to yesterday's photo mystery is out!
The snap was from a charitable moment in history, featuring Coronation Street actress Gaynor Faye leading the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Walk for a Cure at Roundhay Park, captured in June 1997. It was a walk down memory lane with a cause that still resonates strongly today.
The day starts off with a misty morning at 4°C, gradually warming up as the sun breaks through around 8 AM.
Midday peaks at 12°C, and although the afternoon sees a rise in the chance of rain, it remains light and sporadic.
Evening temperatures hold at 9°C, while nighttime brings more substantial rain chances, hovering around 49% by midnight, with the temperature dropping slightly to 8°C.
It's a day to enjoy some sun but keep an umbrella close for those late showers.
