New Mobile Speed Cameras in Leeds- Here Are The Locations!

Morning:
The day begins cool and cloudy with temperatures starting at 9°C and rising to 12°C by 9 AM. Expect light rain starting around 8 AM, with chances increasing to 77% by noon.
Afternoon:

Half Term Event
Experience Ancient Greece at the Royal Armouries Museum
This May half term, the Royal Armouries Museum at Leeds Dock will be transformed by warriors from Ancient Greece, offering free live-action shows, combat demonstrations, craft workshops, and storytelling.
The event runs from 25th May to 2nd June 2024, with sessions in the morning (10 AM - 1 PM) and afternoon (1 PM - 5 PM). Activities include shield design, talks on Greek swords, and dramatic presentations like "The Gates of Fire."
Booking: Admission is free, but pre-booking is recommended.

May Half-Term Dance Day Camp
Join The Dance Lab Leeds for an exciting Dance Day Camp at Moor Allerton Sports & Social Centre, LS17 6EL. Kids will learn fun dance routines to current tracks, participate in creative arts and crafts, and enjoy games while making new friends.
The camp runs from 9 AM to 3 PM and costs £25 per child.

Enjoy a Day in the Dales Direct from Oakwood
Every Sunday until October, catch the Bus 874 from Oakwood Clock to Leeds at 8:57 AM. The bus takes you to Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Kettlewell, and Buckden, offering fantastic views from the double-decker on route 822 to Pateley Bridge from Grassington. Enjoy connections to Malham and Hawes at Ilkley, and to Pateley Bridge at Grassington.
Tickets are affordable with single journeys at £2, Rover Tickets at £10, and family tickets at £18. Available at Oakwood Library.
Chapel Allerton Community Market Expands
Big news! This month, the Chapel Allerton Community Market will be split across two venues: the Main Square and the primary school playground. New Mobile Speed Cameras in Leeds
This week, mobile speed cameras have been deployed across Leeds by the West Yorkshire Police Camera Enforcement Unit to reduce road accidents.
These cameras are installed at core camera sites, known for high accident rates and speeding, and at community concern sites identified by local authorities and residents.
The cameras use lasers to measure vehicle speeds in all weather conditions. Below are some key locations in North Leeds:
30mph sites:
A61 Wakefield Road/Leeds Road, Rothwell - between Middleton Lane and Leadwell Lane
A65 Otley Road, Guiseley - between A6038 Bradford Road and B6153 Park Road
King Lane, Leeds - between 200m North Alwoodley Lane to 50m North Ring Road
Queenswood Drive, Leeds - between Queenswood Gardens and 229 Queenswood Drive
Harewood Road, Collingham
40mph sites:
A58 Easterly Road, Leeds - between Easterly Grove and Boggart Hill Drive
