North Leeds Food Festival Comes to Roundhay!

Tuesday 27th February 2024

Good morning, Moortown readers!

Can you guess where this local photo was taken in the 1940s? The answer will be in tomorrow’s newsletter!

Grab your jacket and umbrella today - it's a cool start at 2-3°C. Expect some drizzles this morning, but nothing too wild. Temps will rise to a comfy 7-8°C in the afternoon with occasional rain, so keep that brolly close!

Surprise sunshine might peek out around 5 PM, giving us a nice end to the workday. The evening looks clear with temps gently dropping to 4-5°C. So, a typical Moortown day with a bit of everything!

Stay warm, stay dry, and enjoy your day! 🌦️🌈

Dan Bradbury's Birdie Bonanza at Moortown!

Guess who swung by our green? Wakefield's own Dan Bradbury, fresh off his dazzling win on the DP World Tour last November, showed Moortown's course what he's made of today. And oh boy, did he bring his A-game!

Dan chalked up not one, not two, but a whopping eleven birdies! That's right, ELEVEN. Just when you thought his swing couldn't get any sweeter, he goes and pulls off a masterclass right here in our backyard.

Let's give it up for Dan! 👏👏👏
