Leeds Welcomes Back the West Indian Carnival… And It’s Coming to Roundhay!
Leeds is excited to celebrate the return of the West Indian Carnival on August Bank Holiday, marking Europe's oldest and largest Caribbean carnival outside London.
The parade, set for August 26, will take a new route through Harehills Avenue, Spencer Place, Roundhay Road, Barrack Road, and Chapeltown Road, minimizing disruption.
Roundhay residents should note road closures from 6 am to 10 pm. The festivities start at 2 pm at Potternewton Park with two laps of the parade route, showcasing vibrant performances and cultural displays.
