Roundhay Music Teacher Banned for Sending Sexual Messages to 'Teen'

Lawrence Levin, a 70-year-old music teacher associated with Roundhay Music in Leeds, has been banned from teaching after being caught sending sexual messages to an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.

Levin, who was convicted in April 2021 for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, expressed remorse during the Teaching Regulation Agency's misconduct hearing.

The panel ruled his actions fell significantly short of professional standards, leading to his indefinite ban from the teaching profession.

Moortown Primary Student Raises Funds for Charity

A Year 3 student at Moortown Primary School demonstrated remarkable generosity by raising £18.40 for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

She created and sold loom band bracelets at a local fair while her mother worked, making signs to explain the charity's mission.

This act of kindness highlights the student's empathy and dedication to helping others.

The North Leeds Leopards game is looking to go ahead on Saturday the 29th against Elland. This comes after their narrow win last week against Milford where the Leopards were victorious, with a score of 34-32 and extending their winning streak to six games.
