Leeds 'SEND Next Choices - Getting Ready for Adult Life' Fair Returns
The "SEND Next Choices" fair, supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in transitioning to adulthood, returns to Leeds' first direct arena on June 25.
Organized by Leeds City Council, the free event will feature over 60 exhibitors offering advice on education, training, apprenticeships, and careers.
The fair includes a fun zone, a quiet area, life skills support, and information sessions on supported internships. Tickets are free and can be booked online.
Year 1's History Inspiration Day at Carr Manor, Chapel Allerton’s Exciting Harewood House Trip and Moortown Picture Day
During Year 1's History Inspiration Day, pupils at Carr Manor Community School explored medieval times. They learned about castle features, and various roles within a castle, and created their own coat of arms on a shield.
Foundation 2 students at Chapel Allerton Primary School had a fantastic trip to Harewood House, enjoying boat rides, garden walks, kitchen tours, and playground fun. The well-behaved children were praised as assets to the school.
Moortown Primary is having picture day today, this is just for a reminder to all parents.

Hundreds of Scooters Ride Out in Tribute to Rugby League Legend Rob Burrow
In a heartfelt tribute to rugby league legend Rob Burrow, hundreds of scooter riders gathered at Headingley Stadium in Leeds. The event celebrated Burrow's inspirational battle with motor neurone disease (MND) and aimed to raise awareness and funds for MND research.
Burrow, a former Leeds Rhinos player, has become a prominent advocate for MND awareness since his diagnosis. The ride-out demonstrated the community's strong support and admiration for his courage and contributions to the sport.
