Moortown Local Scoop- Monday 29th January 2024
Monday 29th January 2024
Good morning, Moortown readers!
Just a heads-up for the day: we've got a consistent rain forecast ahead. Temperatures will hover around 6°C to 8°C throughout the day, so it might feel a bit chilly. With rain probabilities sticking at 80-90%, it's safe to say you'll need an umbrella from morning till night.
Winds are moderate, so it shouldn't disrupt your day too much, but just enough to remind you it's there. Stay dry and keep warm! If you're stepping out, make sure to layer up and maybe treat yourself to something warm after reaching your destination.
Take extra care throughout the day as a Yellow Rain warning has been issues for the area.

Amazing Streak Continues
Moortown RUFC with an amazing 54-22 triumph over Bridlington has ensured that their streak, which is now four wins, can continue. Hopefully this is something that can be maintained in their next fixture which is planned to be against Dronfield on 3rd February.
The Next Stage For North Leeds
North Leeds FC had a narrow win against the Old Centralians in a 3-2 win in the third round of the Hodgson Cup. As they go onto the next round of the cup we hope this momentum can be maintained.
