Good morning, Moortown readers!
Today in Moortown, the weather starts cool at 4°C in the early hours, with overcast skies. The temperature will hover around 4-5°C in the morning, then gradually increase, reaching a daytime high of 8°C, accompanied by partly sunny skies in the early afternoon.
There's a slight chance of rain around noon, so consider a light raincoat or an umbrella just in case. Wind speeds will be moderate throughout the day. As the evening approaches, the temperature will dip back down to 5°C and will continue to fall, reaching 3°C at night with clear skies. Perfect for an evening walk if you're dressed warmly!

The Forest School offers a dynamic learning space. Children can dive into the changing wonders of the woods, guided by a Level 3 qualified instructor.
They'll engage with seasonal activities involving tools and nature's own mud. After playtime, they wind down with stories and hot chocolate, surrounded by a community of friendly parents.

Future Events
The Alderbrook Care Home Open Day on April 3rd, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Located at Donisthorpe Hall, Shadwell Lane in Moortown, Leeds, LS17 6AW, the event promises a tour of the care home, a chance to meet the team, and interactions with residents.

Upcoming Road Resurfacing at Stonegate Rd and King Lane Roundabout
Major resurfacing works are set to begin at the Stonegate Rd and King Lane Roundabout starting 26th February, with expected completion by 15th March 2024.
Work hours are between 09:30 and 14:30, Monday to Friday. During this period, the roundabout will be closed, and signed diversion routes will be available via Ring Road Moortown and surrounding streets.
