- 6 AM - 12 PM: Cloudy with temperatures rising from 12°C to 16°C. Light rain at 7 AM (12% chance). Winds from the west-southwest at 9-12 km/h.

Afternoon:

Boundary Changes in North Leeds Constituencies for Upcoming General Election

Leeds voters are urged to participate in the general election on Thursday, 4 July, with polling stations open from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Registered voters who haven't used postal voting can support their candidates in the seven parliamentary constituencies managed by Leeds City Council.

Due to boundary changes, some constituency names have been updated. For example, Leeds North East includes Alwoodley, Chapel Allerton, Moortown, and Roundhay wards.

Lily Hirst Claims National Title

Moortown honorary member Lily Hirst won the Women’s Strokeplay Championship at Stoneham by four strokes.

Playing at Huddersfield, Hirst shot a final round of four-under 70, finishing with an aggregate of 290, six under par. Her nearest challenger, Darcey Harry, finished two under.

Hirst's key moment was an eagle at the par-4 7th. She expressed her excitement, stating it felt like a dream come true. Next, she will compete in the English Under 25 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Woburn.
