Moortown Firefighters Respond to Major Blaze in Osmondthorpe

Firefighters from Moortown, along with crews from Killingbeck, Hunslet, and Leeds, tackled a significant blaze at a derelict building on Wykebeck Mount, Osmondthorpe.

The fire, which started around 6:50 PM, severely compromised the building's structural integrity, with up to 50% of the structure engulfed. A structural engineer was called to assess the damage.

The incident highlighted the crucial role of Moortown's firefighters in managing emergencies across Leeds.

Chapel Allerton Primary School's KS2 pupils were visited by Perdip Kaur Bhachu, a Senior Associate Solicitor at Blacks Solicitors and a former student.

Success For North Leeds

Games were played this weekend for both North Leeds Leopards Rugby Club and North Leeds Cricket Club.

The Leopards came out with a win of 28 - 6 beating Elland very comfortably and extending their win streak to now 7 games in a row.

North Leeds Cricket Club's 1st XI team won the match against Otley CC's 1st XI team. North Leeds scored 360/3, while Otley CC managed 202.
