Leeds Welcomes Its First Indian Sweet Shop by Punjabi Heaven Owners in Roundhay

Leeds is set to embrace a new culinary delight with the opening of Signature Sweets, an Indian sweet shop touted as the first of its kind in the city.

Situated next door to Punjabi Heaven on Roundhay Road, this venture by co-owners Regina Santo and Daljit Singh aims to introduce Leeds to traditional Indian sweets.

All products will be vegetarian, with the shop expected to open by the end of May. This expansion follows the success of their restaurant, Punjabi Heaven, which also offers catering services for various events.

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2024: A Resounding Success for MND Awareness

The 2024 Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, a key event to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), witnessed a massive turnout.

Spearheaded by Leeds Rhinos legends Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield, the event marked its second year with routes through Headingley, Otley, Moortown and other locales.

The marathon aims to support the establishment of a new MND Care Centre in Leeds named after Rob Burrow, enhancing support for those affected by MND.


Big shoutout to some of the top performers! Congratulations to Joe Sagar for clinching the first position with an impressive time, and to Scott Harrington and George Ravenhall for securing the second and third places respectively. Well done to Jamie Williamson and Matthew Leedham as well, who finished strong among the top five. Each of you showed incredible endurance and speed, representing your clubs with pride. Great job to all runners! 🏃‍♂️🏅
