Moortown Local Scoop- Monday 12th February 2024

Half Term Events that Won't Break the Bank! Plus Moortown Rugby Success!

Monday 12th February 2024

Good morning, Moortown readers!

Looks like we've got a bit of a mixed bag with the weather today.

It's a cool 4°C in the early hours and doesn't seem too keen on rising much, hovering around 5-7°C as the day goes on. The morning's looking mostly calm but don't let that fool you, we've got some showers popping up around mid-morning.

The sun might play a bit of peek-a-boo in the afternoon, but those clouds are here to stay. Come evening, it's back to cloudy skies with a chance of a bedtime sprinkle. So, maybe grab a brolly if you're stepping out – better safe than soggy, right?

Moortown RUFC Triumphs with Stellar Performances

The Moortown RUFC showcased remarkable skill and teamwork this past weekend, with the First XV achieving a stellar five-point victory away at Old Crossleyans RUFC.

The match was against formidable opponents, making the win all the more impressive.

On home turf, the Super 2s engaged in a tightly contested match with Heath Rugby Club. Despite the tough competition, the team demonstrated excellent play that the final scoreline didn’t fully capture.

The club looks forward to carrying this momentum into the next week's games.
