A New Dementia Café Comes to North Leeds

A new dementia café, "Forget-Me-Not Community Café," is opening at St. Andrews URC Church, Shaftsbury Avenue, LS8 1DS.

It will operate on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, starting on August 6th. The café will serve tea, coffee, sandwiches, and cakes, and will offer singalongs and support for carers.

First Luxury Nail Bar Opens in Chapel Allerton with Expansion Plans

NAIL X, the first luxury nail bar in Leeds, has opened on Harrogate Road in Chapel Allerton. Owned by Kien Huang, the nail bar offers a range of services including acrylic and gel nails, as well as pedicures.

Huang aims to provide a pampered and relaxed experience, distinct from typical nail bars. The business plans to expand across the UK, with this Chapel Allerton location being the first of many.

Year 6 Student Promoted to National Age Group Swimming Squad

A Year 6 student from Moortown Primary School has been promoted to the National Age Group Swimming Squad.

This remarkable achievement caps off her primary school journey as she prepares to transition to high school.
