Parking Charges to Not Be Reversed at Roundhay Park and Four Other Leeds Parks
Leeds City Council has announced plans to introduce parking charges at five city parks, including Roundhay Park. Starting Wednesday, July 31, these charges will affect visitors to the popular recreational area, aiming to manage parking demand and generate revenue for park maintenance.
This decision has sparked controversy among residents and visitors, with concerns over the potential impact on park accessibility and visitor numbers. The council maintains that the charges are necessary to support the upkeep of these green spaces.
