St. Gemma's Sunset Walk
This special event is designed to bring the community together in support of St. Gemma's Hospice, a cherished institution providing crucial care and support.
The event begins at 6pm in their event village and walkers will set off at 7pm on a 5km route around Temple Newsam.
The Sunset Walk offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a serene walk at sunset, reflecting on loved ones and supporting a vital cause. Whether you're walking in memory of someone or simply to support the hospice, your participation makes a significant difference.

New South Asian Restaurant Proposed for Roundhay Road, Leeds
A planning application has been submitted to Leeds City Council to convert and extend a residential house into a new South Asian-inspired café at 161-163 Roundhay Road, Leeds.
If approved, this new eatery will join the existing Aisha’s Café located at 159 Roundhay Road. The proposal includes transforming basement storage units into a kitchen and reconstructing the ground floor into a restaurant and café space. The public consultation on this application is set to begin on July 8.
Moortown Primary's Sienna Recognized for Outstanding Manners
Moortown Primary School proudly announces that Sienna, a Year 6 student, was recognised for her exceptional politeness during a visit to Allerton Grange as part of her transition to Year 7.
Out of 300 pupils, Sienna was highlighted as the most polite student, showcasing the school's emphasis on good manners and exemplary behaviour. Congratulations, Sienna!
