Moortown Local Scoop- Friday 23rd February 2024

Happy Friday! Here's the latest in Moortown!

Friday 23rd February 2024

Good morning, Moortown readers!

We're opening the day at a brisk 1°C, so layer up. Temps will slowly climb to a comfy 7°C by midday, with the sun playing a bit of hide and seek. There's a chance of rain from late morning through the afternoon, peaking at 46%, so you might want to keep an umbrella on standby.

The sun will try to steal the show by the afternoon, pushing us to our high of 7°C, but those rain chances will taper off, giving us a break. As evening rolls in, temps slide down to 4°C, setting the stage for a cool and clear night, eventually bottoming out at 2°C.

North Leeds FC in Cup Game

On Saturday 24th, North Leeds FC face Nostell M.W. Res in a thrilling quarter final game. Kick-off is at 14:00 and is to be hosted at Crofton Community Centre.

North Leeds unfortunately ended a pretty nice streak that kept that 2nd in the division 3 table, but lost last game in a narrow score of 3:2 against Farnley Sports. Lets hope they are able to quickly bounce back and go through to the next stage.
