Moortown Local Scoop- Friday 12th April 2024

Moortown Shop Hit by Air Freshener Heist 🥷

Friday 12th April 2024

Looks like it's going to be a pretty standard day, weather-wise. We've got clouds hanging around in the morning with temperatures hovering around 12°C. It's not going to warm up much until the afternoon when the sun pops out and things might hit a high of around 16°C.

There's a tiny chance of rain in the afternoon, so maybe pack a light raincoat just in case. By the evening, it's all clear skies and sunshine, cooling off as night falls. If you're heading out late, you might want a jumper—it's back to 12°C at midnight.

Leeds Council's Witty Reply to Sunderland's Bus Fine at Elland Road

Leeds City Council displayed a humorous side in their response to the Sunderland team bus receiving a parking ticket at Elland Road.

They playfully tweeted a reminder to Sunderland AFC not to 'park the bus' during their game against Leeds United, a reference to defensive play in football.

Despite the ticket and the council's cheeky comment, the match concluded in a stalemate, with Sunderland leaving with a literal and figurative point.
